The number of people who commit suicide today is alarming. There is a very high number of those who die by suicide each year. For instance, the prevalence is at death for every 12 minutes in the United States of America. The overall percentage of people who have suicidal tendencies today has risen by 30 percent for the past 15 years. For this reason, suicide is now seen as a health crisis.
When you lose a loved one, it is not a pleasant thing. Grievers are not dealing with a single problem here. First, those grieving are dealing with the loss of a loved one and then they are at the same time dealing with trauma. These are very sad realities that they have to deal with. It is normal to grieve when you lose someone. However, suicide brings trauma as well. As anyone processes suicide, it is never an easy cycle. There are not many people who are able to fully get peace and happiness after undergoing such a thing.
During the grieving process a number of emotions are at play. Apart from it possibly being pain and anguish, it can also be shame and guilt of a survivor. It is a very common feeling for those who lose a loved one to feel that they are at fault. They will often wonder why they did not see this happening. They are at a loss as to why they couldnt avert the happening.
Because they didnt prevent it, they will be left feeling guilty. They feel that this is indicative of a deep-seated problem in their family and refrain from talking about it. They will seek to avoid talking about this shame.
If it was murder, rage would go to the murderer and this further complicates the situation learn more. Unfortunately here, the murder is your loved one. This makes us to grieve and rage against them in equal measure. What you get at the end of all this is exhaustion and confliction in good measure. Although this is normal anger, it needs to be checked to prevent it from turning more destructive.

There are very many people who are touched by suicide. Indeed, it is not possible for many people to think about the prevalence of suicide until it happens to them. Sadly though, when it strikes, people feel alone and are at a loss. However, they need to be made aware that they are not alone and many other people have undergone the same ordeal and overcame.
